British sports marketing group Chime Communications PLC is to boost its presence in motor racing through a $71 million deal to buy Just Marketing Inc (JMI).

JMI, founded by American former professional driver Zak Brown (@zakBrownCEO), are leaders in securing sponsorship, hospitality and rights deals in Formula One, NASCAR and IndyCar motorsports. Chime Chief Executive Christopher Satterthwaite said that the acquisition gives Chime a strong foothold in the United States and will accelerate their strategy of becoming a global leader in sports marketing.

Notable member of the Chime team is Sebastian Coe, a main architect of London’s successful 2012 Games, and is chairman of its sports marketing arm.
