Less than 1 week before the first race of the second season of FIA Formula E Championship, ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport announced LGT as their new partner.
LGT is the largest Private Banking and Asset Management group in the world that is wholly owned by an entrepreneurial family: the Princely House of Liechtenstein has been in charge of LGT for over 80 years.The collaboration between the two family-owned companies LGT and ABT will begin at the Beijing ePrix weekend and it marks LGT’s first sponsorship in motorsport.
“Formula E is a highly interesting project. The new racing series stands for progressive thinking and innovative sustainable technologies”, says H.S.H. Prince Max von und zu Liechtenstein, CEO LGT (pictured right). “These are factors that we identify strongly with and that play an important role in our corporate culture.”
Hans-Jürgen Abt, CEO ABT Sportsline (left in photo) said of the partnership: “With LGT as a sponsor, we now have a further reliable partner by our side, one that shares our values and helps us to build on the successes of the first season.”
The deal which will see LGT support the German team ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport, and its drivers (Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi), will initially last for the next two seasons i.e. till 2017 at the earliest.
